The Green House is the only UK hotel to feature in the Guardian newspaper’s green traveller list. The 2011 Guardian Green Travel List, in association with greentraveller.co.uk, was published in the Guardian newspaper on 5^th November 2011.

 

This annual list is a guide to 25 travel and tourism initiatives worldwide that have shown evidence of commitment to community, place and the environment.  Green Traveller List

 

Opened in April 2010 The Green House has been shortlisted for the Awards for Environmental Excellence 2010. Edie's Awards for Environmental Excellence 2010 seek to celebrate the year's most successful green innovators and environmental breakthroughs.

The best environmental projects will be judged by a panel of leading lights including the eminent green campaigner Oliver Heath and eco TV presenter Joanna Yarrow.

The hotel has been shortlisted alongside projects for Waitrose, Tesco, Moto and Marks and Spencer. 
 

Now in their fourth year, The Awards for Environmental Excellence, have been recognised as one of the top awards in Europe after being awarded RSA accreditation in 2009.
