Do your taste buds a favour and join us at Arbor on Thursday 6th October

Do you, like us, tend to become crippled with FOMO when trying to decide what to order from a really special menu? Or maybe you want to experiment with new taste sensations but don’t want to miss out on your favourites?

Well, Fear No Longer. Arbor, the two-AA rosette restaurant at the Green House Hotel, is coming to the rescue with a monthly Five Course Tasting Menu that will cut through all that dithering like a hot knife through butter. We are inviting you to sample a handpicked selection of our favourite dishes that Head Chef Andy Hilton thinks you really ought to try!

On the first Thursday of every month, starting on 6 October, Andy is putting together an extra-special Tasting Menu with the very best of what the season has to offer.

As you would expect from the Green House Hotel, Bournemouth’s most eco-friendly luxury boutique hotel, the Arbor Tasting Menus will be packed full of the sort of ethically and sustainably sourced produce – South Coast fish and seafood, organic and free-range meat and fruits and vegetables – that regularly graces our seasonal A La Carte Menus.

Whether it’s the tenderest pork loin from our favourite Wiltshire master butcher Walter Rose, very special black pudding from Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis (worth going a bit further for we promise) or hand-dived scallops from Dorset’s Lyme Bay, Andy’s team will work their magic to produce the sort of precision-cooked, delicious but unfussy food for which Arbor is renowned – and for which it has won a Gold Trophy at the Dorset Tourism Awards for three years in a row.

Our 6 October occasion will be extra special because we are also unveiling a new Arbor Vegan Tasting Menu for those who want to find out just how exciting vegan cooking can be. We know British restaurant-goers are becoming ever more sophisticated when it comes to their food choices, and nowhere, it seems, is this more true than in Bournemouth. One survey found Bournemouth had the second-highest number of “vegan” internet searches of any city in the UK last year, beaten only by Brighton. And the Bournemouth vegan fair at the Bournemouth International Centre on June 25-26 was the biggest yet.

Perhaps you’re already vegan, perhaps you’re considering it or perhaps you just like to mix it up a bit for your own reasons. Whatever the case, Andy and his team have some truly inspiring dishes to share with you – there’s a fabulous, delicately flavoured Lemongrass and coconut soup, and, one of Arbor’s favourite dishes, a subtly spiced, nutty Tandoori Quinoa with Bombay Potatoes and golden Cauliflower Pakora.

And don’t forget our famous puds, all imagined into being by our super-talented pastry chef Beth. We don’t want to spoil any surprises but… three little words – Peanut Chocolate Brownie.

Arbor is taking individual table bookings for our 6 October Tasting Menu at times to suit you (you can see the full menu here . The menu is £30 per person with your choice of a flight of three different wines to match for an additional £12 per person; five wines to match for an additional £20 per person.

But we are booking up fast. So do your tastebuds a favour, and click here to book online or call us for more information on 01202 498900.
