We’re celebrating success in not one, not two, but three categories at this year’s Dorset Tourism Awards.
Here at the Green House, Bournemouth’s eco-friendly luxury boutique hotel, we’re celebrating success in three categories at this year’s Dorset Tourism Awards.
We’ll receive either Gold, Silver or Bronze awards in the Eating Out, Small Hotel of the Year and Sustainable Tourism categories of the awards ceremony at the Tank Museum, Bovington on Thursday 16th October.
Having won Silver in the Eating Out category last year, we are definitely going for Gold this time! At Arbor, the Green House’s bistro-style restaurant and one of Bournemouth’s top eateries, Andy, our head Chef, is passionate about sourcing both classic and new ingredients to inspire his menus. He’s committed to working with Dorset’s artisan suppliers and finding exciting specialist providers such as the English Oak Vineyard, Samways fish merchants or Dorchester’s Gilded Tea Pot.
But to have been nominated in both the Sustainable Tourism and Small Hotel of the Year categories as well this year, is really exciting. Ever since we opened in 2010, sustainability and quality have been at the heart of everything we do.
The sustainability aspect means not only doing no harm to the environment, but also proudly supporting our local economy, working with suppliers who value quality and craftsmanship as much as we do.
And the Small Hotel of the Year category, open to properties with 35 or fewer bedrooms, is all about creating a quality visitor experience that keeps people coming back to us, to Bournemouth and to the wider area. It means finding new and inspiring ways to spoil our visitors without spoiling anything else – whether that’s an East Cliff restaurant “hop”, a surfing weekend or a beauty-and-culture short break.
Whatever the colour of the award we end up with on the 16th, we already feel like winners!
So if you happen to fancy a luxury stay in a highly sustainable, top-quality small(ish) hotel in Dorset that offers a fantastic eating out experience, then call us on 01202 498900 or email email@example.com for availability!
