We’re particularly proud of this one, because you voted us winners. Here’s what the judges said about us:
“This Grade II listed Victorian villa may be white on the outside but it’s green through and through. Setting new standards in eco-tourism, the owners of the 32-room Green House in Bournemouth scoured the area for all that’s green and clean…
The décor is quirky, sophisticated and luxurious; and each member of staff is knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. Drinks at the cosy bar are followed by refreshingly unpretentious meals at Arbor restaurant (a member of the 2 AA Rosette club). And as you would expect from The Green House, all ingredients are locally sourced: many of Dorset’s farms and the New Forest coastline are close by so Chef Andy Hilton has the pick of the crops, finest seafood and fairtrade produce.”
Under the inspirational direction of head chef Andy Hilton, our restaurant Arbor has consistently been rated 2 Rosettes for dining by the AA. And in 2017 we picked up a coveted Michelin Plate – a sign of excellent food, innovative menus, freshly sourced produce and fair prices.
It was a big boost for us to be shortlisted as one of the UK’s best wedding venues at the 2018 Wedding Awards (winner yet to be announced) because we know how wonderful the hotel is for your big day – and our team really do pull out all the stops to make sure everything goes without a hitch.
Silver this year for best South West boutique hotel of the year, pipped to the post by the exceptional Hell Bay Hotel in the Isles of Scilly (congratulations!). These are tough awards to rank in, and reflect customer reviews and inspectors ratings, so we’re delighted to have received this recognition and aim to go one better next year!
