Flavours of Spain 5-Course Tasting Menu: Thursday 28th July 2022
Spain is the most popular destination for British holidaymakers, almost twice as many British people visit Spain than any other country. You could say that the British have a love affair with Spain.
However, Spain is much more than beaches, sangria, and sombreros. It has a rich history with many influences from the Romans to the Moors and the Americas. These influences extend to Spanish cuisine, which, again, is much more than Paella (as lovely as Paella is!).
Eating is one of the most important social rituals in Spain which is why the Spanish take their food so seriously – over 200 Michelin starred restaurants attests to this passion for flavour.
The Green House Hotel’s Head Chef Andy, and Spanish Sous Chef Yessica, celebrate this tradition, passion, and craft in their homage to the Flavours of Spain, on Thursday 28th July 2022. Together, they’ve put together a special 5 course menu dedicated to the ingredients and delicate spicing that can be found on the Iberian Peninsula.
From handmade Croquettas, to Gambas pil pil, Octopus terrine and Pork Loin “a la plancha”, not to mention some yummy sweet treats, this is a “foodie event” not to be missed!
